Textquencer is a text-based MIDI Sequencer. It creates MIDI sequences from the plain text!
Each letter in the alphabeth triggers a note in the scale you are working.
You can map emojis, non-English letters and punctiations to custom MIDI notes in the settings menu.
A custom character can trigger either a specific MIDI note you want.
Or it can trigger a specific note in the scale, like the first or second note in the scale.
Spaces, punctiations and other characters put rests in the sequencer unless they are custom mapped.
You can randomize the velocity and gate length of each step in the settings menu.
Textquencer's music theory engine offers more than 110 scales.
You can also use your custom scales that you created in ScaleBud 2!
The sequencer can run in very wide range from the whole notes to 64th notes.
Textquencer runs as standalone app as well as AUv3 MIDI Plugin.
Create AU presets and use AU parameters of the AUv3 plugin.
Control or even automate every AU parameter of Textquencer.
The standalone version of Textquencer supports Ableton Link.
Textquencer offers its core componets on Github.
